Service Description
This class is an introduction to "handbuilding" with clay. Handbuilding is working with clay without the use of a pottery wheel. We will experiment with pinch-pots, coil building, and slab building. Because of the intricacies of working with clay, each class is 1.5 hours. This will be an on-going, student centered workshop. Students may jump in at any time and work at their own pace with individualized attention. A class package is required and a minimum of 2 classes should be purchased to allow the student to create with clay and glaze the piece. Please note: All materials will be provided. Due to the price of clay, glaze, and firing the artwork, the fee for this class is slightly higher than other classes.
